Healing Works is a collective multi-media exhibition of artwork exploring themes of violence against women and the ways in which women are active agents in their own healing processes after violence.

We are looking for artwork exploring healing after abuse, violence, or trauma. Visual art forms can be anything from paintings to drawings, collages, photography, etc.

Performances will also be scheduled during the month of April and students creating performance pieces should contact WRC Program Coordinator, Rachel Storm, to submit performance ideas at rstorm2@illinois.edu.

The Women’s Resources Center will showcase Healing Works from April 3rd-30th, as part of the Boneyard Arts Festival exhibit April 7-August 14, 2011.

Submissions are due March 25th, 2011 and can be dropped off at the Women’s Resources Center during open hours. At the time of drop-off, artists will fill out a letter of agreement with the WRC secretary. Please contact womensprograms@illinois.edu or for any questions you may have.
