TODD HASAK-LOWY (Assistant Professor, University of Florida) will discuss his paper “However You Look at It: Recent Israeli Cinema and the Lebanon Wars.”

Todd Hasak-Lowy is Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures as well as the Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Florida. His research interests lie in the field of modern Hebrew literature, the history of Zionism, and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. In addition to numerous articles, he is the author of the monograh Here and Now: History, Nationalism, and Realism in Modern Hebrew Fiction(2008) as well as the novels The Task of This Translator (2005) and Captives (2008).
